I Hope the Clouds Will Lift by Shawn Brown : bio It's raining in Atlanta. The CD player is playing The Gloria Record and Bright Eyes. The air conditioner hums. The computer hums. I've got the taste of grits and beer on my tongue - dinner! - and a stack of letters and six-year old photos on the top shelf in the closet above my only suit, a blue pinstripe bought second-hand from a consignment store for $65. The wood floors creek when I cross them. I hope the clouds will lift by morning.
